Additional Information: It saw some use, and due to rather crude sharpening technique by the previous owner, the ura ended up in its current condition. I have since re-established a flat, true reference plane on the uraoshi (the flat perimeter of the back). With careful and mindful sharpening moving forward, it still has a long working life ahead. Both the primary bevel and the ura have been sharpened up to #1000 grit. During the sharpening process, the steel produced a clean, wire-like burr that could be stripped away in a continuous thread.
