Additional Information: This chisel shows signs of long-term use with some rust on the ura, but it does not affect functionality. The rust will naturally wear away with regular sharpening during future use. It's an excellent choice if you want to try out a Kiyotada chisel without breaking the bank. I have performed a basic sharpening, the bevel to 1000 grit and the Ura (back) to 1000 grit. During the sharpening process, the steel produced a clean, wire-like burr that could be stripped away in a continuous thread.
