Additional Information: Used, in good condition. This is a chisel from a retired engraver in the Tokyo area. It is a rare 50mm size and is most likely custom-made. It functions similarly to Hako nomi.
This brand is another well-known carving chisel brand in the Kanto region of Japan. Its history can be traced back to the Edo period. Judging from the precision of the chisel, it must have been made by a blacksmith of the previous generation.
The original wooden handle was damaged and Mr. Tsuchida recently replaced it with a new one.
