Additional Information: Used, in good condition. It comes from the descendants of retired carpenters in the Tokyo area.

According to 「Traditional Tools of Japan」by Ichiro Tsuchida, Hirosada was praised as a toolsmith who forged planes with sharpness comparable to that of Chiyoturu Korehide and Ishido Kazuhide, and was a master smith who was said to have been "sentenced to chills when Chiyoturu Korehide saw Hirosada's plane for the first time, by the precision of its forging."  —— 「昭和7年の東京における鉋の値段・Plane prices in Tokyo in 1932」

The blacksmith's blades had different finishes at different times. According to the information「Tsuchida Noboru, "Planes left behind by master smith", 鉋の技と銘品大全,p50 」, this blade was most likely made around Showa 7(1932).
