Additional Information: It is pre-owned but in good condition. The blade has been fully tuned—straightened and sharpened—by Mr. Tsuchida. This saw comes from a carpenter in Chiba Prefecture.
This saw is thinner than a standard single-edged saw and features excellent blade flexibility. This makes it ideal for flush-cutting wooden dowels or protruding tenons against a flat surface.
Although it bears the “Tama-uchi/玉打” mark (implying it is made of Tamahagane steel), unfortunately, it is not actual Tamahagane; this was simply a marketing tactic used at the time.
