Japanese Swordsmith Masashige's real name is Kudo Yoshihiro. He was born in 1976 in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. He lives in Umeda-cho, Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture.

In 1995, he became an apprentice to swordsmith Fujiyasu Masahira, and in 2003 he received approval to make swords from the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
