Additional Information: It has seen light use and remains in great condition. Originally acquired from a retired miyadaiku (shrine/temple carpenter) in the Tokyo area.

This is a rare specialty chamfer plane that has become quite hard to find in recent years, known in Japan as a Kirimen-ganna(切面刨). It is specially designed to chamfer only the central section of a workpiece, leaving both ends square.
