Additional Information: This is a pre-owned chisel that I have personally sharpened, taking the bevel up to 1000 grit and the ura (back) to approximately 3000 grit.

It is an exceptionally well-crafted kote chisel, featuring crisp, precise structural lines throughout—most notably in the neck (kubi), which exhibits refined, high symmetry. Furthermore, the shaft diameter varies very little, giving the tool a slender yet strong, bone-like (gokkan) aesthetic presence. Among the comparable chisels listed on my store, perhaps only the work of Kiyotada during his prime could rival such exquisite craftsmanship.

This blacksmith was one of the disciples of Hidari Hisahiro II. For more information about him, please refer to the end of my blog post —— 『OTHER TOKYO CHISEL MARKS』
