Additional Information: A Nakayama Tomae Kiita (yellow plate) with a pure, rich color, sourced from a retired carpenter in the Tokyo area, coated with protective lacquer, and mounted on a base. This is an exceptionally pure, premium-quality Tomae of medium hardness (harder than the 955g Nashiji Tomae, but softer than the 868g Nashiji Tomae). It can be used directly without a Nagura, offering a smooth sharpening feel and outstanding cutting power that yields a near-mirror finish. Highly suitable for the final finishing of tools.
