Ryoba Noko Japanese Both Sided Hand Saw - 300mm ②
Smith name: Unknown (It has a blacksmith's mark, I can't identify it, but the origin mark indicates that it is from Miki.)
Steel: Tamahagane (The saw has a "玉鋼/Tamahagane" mark, but there is no proof that it was actually made by "tamahagane“. In my experience, most “Tamahagane” marks are a form of advertising.)
Cutting edge length: 295mm
Total length: 760mm
Blade thickness: about 0.6mm
Blade width: 80~110mm
Weight: 280g
Blade sharpening and adjusting: Unknown
Manufacture Era: Before 1980s(according to collector’s memory)
Accessories: -
Additional Information: Used, a piece of the top of the blade fell off on one side, but it did not affect the use. It comes from a retired carpenter in the Kansai region of Japan. This saw is one of the main saws he uses. The blade is covered with a thin layer of dark oxide, which can only be formed through frequent use and careful storage.
It has not been "metate" recently and is still able to cut.
