Additional Information: Unused, in good condition. This plane was sourced from a specialty tool shop in the Kansai region. It is slightly smaller than the similar-type plane by Yukichika that I sold previously, making it a better fit for a tateguya (door/window maker) or a sukiya carpenter. Also, unlike the previous plane, its uragane (chipbreaker) was personally tuned by Yukichika himself.
There is some minor surface rust on the blade, but it is purely cosmetic and does not affect the tool's functionality. Please note that there is a slight deformation in the carriage of this plane. I have consulted Mr. Tsuchida regarding this issue; he examined the tool and confirmed that a deformation of this degree will not interfere with its functionality.
Regarding the origin of the name 'saru' for this type of plane and its application, please refer to the link below: [saruboo tenjou/猿頬天井]
