This chisel was provided by Kiyotada blacksmith to the Asakusa Suiheiya shop in the early days. It uses the Ichihiro shape and its molding is highly precise. However, it still cannot be fully compared with the same type of chisel of Ichihiro. Please see the last two comparison pictures for details. But as a practical tool, the Kiyotada chisel is sufficient, not to mention that the price difference between the two chisels in the picture was 3 to 4 times at that time.
The ichihiro chisel for comparison is from the third generation ichihiro, which comes from here: 「Tsugi-Ichihiro」Tataki-Nomi Japanese Hand Made Timber Chisel 9-Pieces Set
