Tokyo Geta-Craftsman/Traditional Japanese Wooden Clog Chisel Set

I purchased these chisels from a descendant of a geta craftsman in the Tokyo area. These chisels were bought by his grandfather from Yamasho Shoten (山正商店), a famous tool store in Tokyo that mainly supplied tools for geta craftsmen. Because they were stored in a warehouse for a long time, most of them are rusted and will take time to re-sharpen if someone wants to use them. Compared to practical use, they are more suitable as examples to understand the work of a geta craftsman.

Among them, there are six "Junō'/ 十能" chisels used for cutting the part between the teeth of the wooden clogs, seven 'Maru-sukashi/丸透' chisels used for cutting round holes, and one ordinary “Tsuki-nomi” which appears to be from the Aizu region based on its shoulder shape.
