Additional Information: The chisel has barely been used, and its remaining blade length is virtually identical to that of a brand-new one. However, rather rough sharpening by the previous owner left the ura in its current visual condition. I have since re-established a flat, true reference plane on the uraoshi (the flat perimeter of the back). With careful and mindful sharpening moving forward, it still has a long working life ahead. Both the primary bevel and the ura have been sharpened up to #1000 grit. During the sharpening process, the steel produced a clean, wire-like burr that could be stripped away in a continuous thread.
