Additional Information: Lightly used. In good condition, only some rust on the 'ura' at the point where the neck and blade connect. It comes from a retired carpenter in the Tokyo area. I did a repair sharpening, bevel to 1000 grit, ura to 5000 grit. The chisel was customized by the previous owner and has been sharpened into something like a skew chisel. To avoid sharpening away too much of the chisel's usable steel, I didn't restore it to its original shape. Actually, due to the width of the chisel, this design effectively reduces resistance during cutting.

The first seller of the chisel was the Suiheiya store in Ikebukuro (Closed down around 2015.), Tokyo. This chisel is an early work of Kiyotada. It is finely made and you can see more details by enlarging the picture.
