Additional Information: Used, in good condition. I purchased it from a retired carpenter in Tokyo. I did a repair sharpening to 1000 grit.
During the sharpening process, I found that the quality of its steel was excellent. The "line" in the instgram post is the burr I created when sharpening it. The fact that it can be completely removed from the tip of the blade shows that the microstructure of the chisel steel is very uniform and has almost no impurities.
The connection between the wooden handle and the blade is currently a bit loose; you will need to make and install a wooden wedge yourself.
