Additional Information:  It comes from a retired Tateguya (sliding door and screen maker) in the Tokyo area. Most of this carpenter's tools were purchased from the Inoue Hamono shop. Judging by its current condition, this saw is in near unused condition.

The wooden handle of this saw was custom-made by the owner himself. It has a teardrop cross-section and offers a very comfortable grip.
