Additional Information: In brand new condition. This is a rare wide-profile blade. I discovered it in the display window of a tool shop in Saitama Prefecture. The owner’s father and grandfather were primarily 'Metate' (saw sharpening and setting) specialists. According to the owner, this saw was crafted by a sawsmith in Sanjo and was part of the stock sourced in the 1980s while his father was still alive. The blade was finished using a 'Sen' (a traditional hand scraper), shows no distortion. The saw remains in its original factory condition; the teeth are sharp and ready for immediate use.
