Additional Information: Unused, in good condition, the ura (flat back) of the blade has minor surface rust, which can easily be removed during routine sharpening.. The dai (body) is crafted from high-quality Japanese white oak. Having been stored in a warehouse for nearly 20 years, it shows minor signs of past insect damage, though this does not affect its structural integrity or normal use. While the wood has experienced cross-grain shrinkage—causing the uragane (sub-blade) to fit tightly and currently prevent full insertion—the dai itself remains virtually free of warping or twisting.
The uragane (Chip Breaker ) is also hand-made by the Keizaburo.
