Additional Information: This plane is lightly used and comes from the same retired miyadaiku (temple carpenter) in the Kansai region as the other Sakata plane. The blade is an early work by blacksmith Haruo Sakata. It is stamped with the wholesaler’s brand name "Masakane" (正兼), along with a square stamp reading "Maeda Tsunao" (前田綱雄).
Based on the blade’s craftsmanship, style, and available reference data, I confirmed this to be the work of Sakata Haruo. A tategu-ya in Hyogo Prefecture also documented a Sakata blade that bore the stamps "Tokyo Masakane" (东京正兼), "Maeda Tsunao" (前田綱雄), and "Sakata Haruo" (坂田春雄), although the photos from that source are unfortunately no longer accessible.
