Additional Information: This tool has been used, but has plenty of usable life remaining. I have performed a restorative sharpening, bringing both the bevel and the ura to around #1000 grit. It is ready for you to simply continue sharpening to your preferred working edge. During sharpening, the steel provided feedback reminiscent of Tsuki-Ichihiro chisels—likely Shirogami No. 1. It feels relatively hard yet remarkably fine-grained, forming a distinct wire burr.
