Oda Kouichiro went to the United States in 1974 and made many knives for R.W. Loveless between 1975 and 1978. If you search the "kuzan knife", can see many of his knife works. He returned to Japan around 1992 at the age of 51 and began training in making Japanese swords under Master Yoshindo Yoshihara. This Yanagiba knife is made and sharpened by him. I feel the spirit of Japanese samurai sword in this kitchen knife.
