Japanese White Oak Wood Plane Body (Arabori-Dai) for 70mm Blade

Additional Information: Brand new condition. High quality white oak plane body. I discovered it tucked away in the back of a display window at a tool shop in Saitama. The owner told me these plane blocks (kannadai) are about ten years old, originally sourced from dai marker in the Sanjo region. The plane block shows slight movement, but there is no twist.

The plane block on the left is older and is sized for a blade width of approximately 73mm.
