Additional Information:  This is an unused stone sourced from a professional tool shop’s collection in the Kanto region, with visible hand-saw marks still remaining on the sides. I personally hand-picked this piece after testing it with my own chisel. Among the four Japanese natural whetstones (JNATs) I’ve uploaded, this is the softest, yet it is very pure and offers a smooth sharpening experience. It can quickly sharpen an edge to a beautiful Kasumi finish. Unfortunately, the specific mine of origin for this stone cannot be identified.

Best suited for: Kitchen knives; it is also an excellent choice for woodworking tools if you primarily work with hardwoods.
