Additional Information: It has seen light use and remains in great condition. Originally acquired from a retired miyadaiku (shrine/temple carpenter) in the Tokyo area. Judging from the number stamping and overall appearance of the blade, it reminds me of the craftsmanship of the Kanai plane blacksmiths. Another intriguing detail is that just to the right of the 'Tobei' mark on the blade, there is an inscription reading '雪之下之住/Yukinoshita no Jū' (Resident of Yukinoshita).

According to some information, in the Sanjo area in the 1990s. Tobei have better skills and his works are more expensive than Kinshiro.

The plane is made of good materials and made with high precision. After more than 20 years, it has hardly deformed.

There is some information about the wood body artisan on page 113 of the book. - 『Dougu Mandala』Tool Mandala by Muramatsu Teijiro
