Additional Information: Unused, in good condition. They were found in a professional tool shop in Saitama Prefecture. The shop owner's grandfather was a saw smith and also do "metate". In his father's generation, the work of making saws decreased, and the main job became "metate". It was also his father who started a professional tool shop, and now the owner of the shop no longer does "metate" work at all.
The last two photos show examples of this tool. Its structure is similar to that of a Japanese dōzuki saw. It has two obvious advantages: first, it allows for quick and convenient replacement of the file; second, it effectively reduces the risk of thin files breaking during use.
