Additional Information: Lightly used, I sharpened the bevel to 400 grit, and the ura to about 6000 grit.

The chisel comes from a retired carpenter in the Chiba area. Compared to most chisels of this type in the last 10 years, this chisel is well made.

The two sides of the blade are concave to reduce the friction with the wood on both sides of the mortise when in use.
