The blade developed by Mr. Metsugi based on the reliable conclusions of Professor Chutaro Kato's research experiments at Yamagata University.
Metsugi's chromium plated blade is mainly used to finishing of soft wood surface. Chromium plated blades can provide longer-lasting sharpness and continuously cut out a smooth surface. Mr. Metsugu also conducted experiments after making the blade. The sharpness retention performance is 6 to 10 times stronger than that of common blades.
Tips:
※ If you are a beginner, or if you work primarily with hardwood, this product is not recommended.
※ This product does not require ura sharpening and ura dashi. Both sides of the blade are high-precision flat.
※ It is not recommended to use Uragane as it may damage the Chromium plating.
※ If you don't use it for a long time, please apply oil to the blade, wrap it with anti-rust paper and put it in a sealed anti-rust bag.
※ I am currently trying to translate the blade manual provided by Mr. metsugi. If you don't have the confidence to use it, please wait until I finish translating the manual.
