These are probably kunikei chisels sold by wholesalers in the Kansai area. First, the blade of the chisel is thinner than that of a common kunikei chisel. It is more like the kinari style oire chisel popular in the Kansai area.

In addition, the Kuchigane part and the chisel neck joint are polished. This method is called "擦り合わせ/Suriawase" in Japanese, and according to some information, it is popular in the Miki area.

This method can effectively make up for the error between the Kuchigane and the chisel neck. But personally, I don't like this method. This practice rudely destroyed the chisel blacksmith's hand-file marks.
