Additional Information:  Unused, in good condition. This plane was sourced from a specialty tool shop in the Kansai region. It is slightly smaller than the similar-type plane by Yukichika that I sold previously, making it a better fit for a tateguya (door/window maker) or a sukiya carpenter. Also, unlike the previous plane, its uragane (chipbreaker) was personally tuned by Yukichika himself.

There is some minor surface rust on the blade, but it is purely cosmetic and does not affect the tool's functionality.  It differs from the other two sarumenori planes uploaded in this same batch. First, the blade features the Yukichika brand name. Second, the blade is installed at an angle, similar to a kiwakanna (skew rabbet plane). This design effectively reduces cutting resistance when dressing harder timber species.

Regarding the origin of the name 'saru' for this type of plane and its application, please refer to the link below: [saruboo tenjou/猿頬天井]
