Additional Information: Unused, in good condition. It was found in the window of a professional tool shop. The shop owner had passed away, and his descendants could not provide any further information about the blacksmith who made the tool. Judging from the items in his tool shop, this sen must have come from a skilled blacksmith in the Niigata region.
Furthermore, the design of its wooden handle was carefully considered. It takes into full account the actual use of the tool, and the size and irregular polygonal shape of the handle provide a good grip.
Sen knife is a traditional blacksmith tool, it is a thick drawknife for metal instead of wood. They're used to shape knife/tools after they'd been forged but before the heat treating.
