Additional Information:  This chisel is unused, in good condition. It has been stored deep in a cabinet at the Asakusa Suiheiya shop.

I have performed a basic sharpening on the bevel. However, the tip was flat (blunt) when I acquired it, so it will require further sharpening/honing by you before it is ready for use. This is also the reason why the laminated steel layer on the bevel appears visually thinner.

This is most likely an early work of Hidari-Hisasaku II (2nd Gen), as it exhibits much finer craftsmanship than his later works.

Alternatively, it is possible that the proprietor of Suiheiya specifically requested higher precision standards from Hidari-Hisasaku II. A similar situation is known to have occurred when Kiyotada II supplied tools to Suiheiya.
