Additional Information: This chisel is unused and in good condition, with only some surface rust. The striking hoop (katsura) on the handle has already been set. Because 24mm is typically the most frequently used size for a tataki chisel, finding an unused 24mm piece from this blacksmith is extremely rare.
It is said that Tsunehiro chisels offer performance comparable to Kiyotada chisels, known for their excellent nagakire (long-lasting edge retention). Regarding its forging precision, I believe this maker ranks among the very best blacksmiths in the Niigata region; the transition from the neck to the blade, as well as the execution of the shoulder lines, are exceptionally masterful and precise.
