Additional Information: Used, The chisel comes from a retired wooden Buddha statue carver from the Tokyo area. It has rust on the Ura side. Fortunately, the steel is thicker and the rust on the ura side does not affect its use. I sharpened the bevel to about 400 grit, and the wooden handle was provided and installed by Mr. Tsuchida Noboru.
The "小信" mark has a "特撰" mark above it, meaning it is a specially selected item. This mark is rare on wooden letter chisels. I learned from some information that Konobu chisels mainly use blue steel No. 2, but also provide other steel. This chisel is likely to be made of other steels.
