Buriki-ya Hammer Japanese Customized Tinsmith Hammer by Kouzaburo

Additional Information: Unused. Brand new condition. 

Usually the holes on this type of hammer are semicircular at both ends, but this one was custom made and like most Japanese handmade hammers, it has a square hole.

Quoted from the Internet's explanation of buriki-ya:"In Japan, the origins of sheet metal workers are said to lie in the craftsmen who made ornamental hairpins and oval coins. From there, they branched out, and in the past they were called Buriki-ya(tinsmiths), and made and repaired pots and kettles. Over time, this type of manufacturing disappeared, and they began to engage in the work of processing and fixing metal plates to the roofs and exterior walls of houses."
