According to my research into historical records, the blacksmith who crafted this saw is likely Kisaburo Nojima (who established his business in Showa 13 / 1938), a smith from the Sanjo region. Both he and Oba Shoichiro —a renowned master sawsmith from Sanjo—belonged to the lineage founded by Higuchi Minezaburo (樋口峰三郎). In his early years, Oba Shoichiro used "Nakaya" as his brand name; therefore, it is reasonable to infer that Kisaburo Nojima also used "Nakaya" as the brand for his own saws.
