This saw is in good condition. It has been used only a few times since being tuned and sharpened (metate), and it remains very sharp. I acquired this from a retired temple carpenter in Kansai. Although it bears the mark of 'Miyano Tetsunosuke,' Mr. Tsuchida has appraised it and determined that it was not made by Miyano himself. However, the shape of the neck is unmistakably typical Kansai style.
