Additional Information: Brand new and unused, in excellent condition. Purchased from a retired Miyadaiku (shrine/temple carpenter) in the Kyoto area, this handle was originally acquired by him about 30 years ago. Cleverly, a segment of bark has been left on the pommel to enhance grip and prevent slippage during use.
This is a semi-finished piece. It requires installation and final fitting by the end user.
