Judging from the tooth shape, it is more suitable for Plywood.

This saw comes from a retired carpenter in Saitama Prefecture. The carpenter retired around 2000. He told me that the saws were sent for setting and sharpening and were never used again, but were carefully wrapped in newspaper and stored in a warehouse. Except for this saw, which instead of being wrapped in newspaper was hanging in the warehouse. The carpenter told me that after he retired, he would occasionally use this saw to cut some boards.
