Additional Information: It is used and was purchased from the descendant of a carpenter in Osaka, in good condition. It was recently readjusted and sharpened by Mr. Tsuchida.
The handle of this saw is inscribed with the carpenter's surname, Nakaya(仲谷), and his place of residence, Yoshikawa Village(吉川村)—a name that ceased to be used after the village merged with Higashinose Village(東能勢村) in 1956.
Although the mark on the saw is faint, judging by the visible parts, it is highly likely a work by Heijiro Miyano. Additionally, Mr. Tsuchida informed me that this saw was modified from a double-edged saw. It appears that one side sustained cracks due to improper use, and after being repaired and welded, it was repurposed into a single-edged saw for continued use. Mr. Tsuchida noted that if the saw hadn't been of such high quality, it wouldn't have been worth the time to repair and modify it.
