Additional Information: Unused, in brand new condition. I bought it from the window of a professional tool store. The shop owner told me that the blade was probably made by the Takaki blacksmith.

As shown in the last image, the design of this tool was reconstructed based on wood-processing marks found on ancient timber from Horyu-ji Temple. This material is “Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum: Permanent Exhibition Catalogue”.
