Additional Information:  Used. I found it in a tool box sold by a descendant of a carpenter. The box contained many planes from the Meiji or early Showa era (but they were badly rusted). Although it does not have any blacksmith's mark, the craftsmanship of the blacksmith who made it can be seen from the precision of its production and the traces of blacksmithing that have been preserved.
