Additional Information: Used, but with low frequency of use. It was sourced from a retired Sukiya Daiku (master carpenter specializing in teahouse architecture) in the Tokyo area. I have performed a basic sharpening: both the bevel and the ura (flat back) are in good condition, honed up to approximately 5,000 grit. The jigane used for the blade is quite intriguing—please refer to the clear photos of the bevel to appreciate its unique texture.

The blade exhibits high precision and features a polished (migaki) finish, marking it as one of Mosaku-san’s earlier works. The dai (body) deserves special mention: crafted from premium Japanese White Oak, it remains virtually free of any warping or distortion despite being stored for over 20 years. Although the dai bears no maker's mark, the craftsmanship is undoubtedly on par with that of Koyoshiya.
