Additional Information: This is a set of second-hand chisels in good condition with minimal signs of use. The set was acquired from the personal collection of a retired carpenter in the Chiba area, who originally purchased them in his youth.
I have personally undertaken the sharpening and flattening process for this set: the bevels have been ground to 1000 grit, and the backs (ura) have been flattened to approximately 1000 grit as well. During the sharpening process, the steel felt quite hard under the stones, suggesting it could likely be White Steel No.1 (Shirogami No.1). Performance-wise, this set would be best suited for working with softwoods.
