Retired Tokyo Carpenter's Used Tool Set

If you are a beginner with Japanese tools, please buy with caution. These tools need to be repaired and sharpened before they can be used.

Tool set contents:

1. Kadomentori-Kanna Japanese Adjustable Chamfer Plane - 30mm. No maker marks but good quality and in good condition.

2. Sliding Dovetail Plane. The manufacturer is unknown, the condition is not good, and needs to be repaired and adjusted before it can be used.

3. Japanese Hand made Marking Gauge By Tobei . Blade beam length- 150mm. Not in good condition, blade needs sharpening. 

4: Japanese Hand made Marking Gauge By Keizo(桂造). In a 1981 Naohei shop brochure, Keizo(桂造) tools were listed as being of the highest grade. The blade of this marking gauge has a store mark “Inoue・井上“ on it, indicating that the carpenter probably purchased it from Inoue when he was young. It is in good condition and has high precision. Almost no need to sharpen its blades and it can be used directly.

5:  Wood Strip Adjustable Chamfering Plane By Keizo(桂造) - 30mm. In good condition, there is some rust on the blade surface, but not serious.
