Additional Information: This chisel is unused. It has been stored deep in a cabinet at the Asakusa Suiheiya shop. There are two spots of rust on the ura (back side), but they are surface-level and not deep.
I have performed a basic sharpening on the bevel. However, the tip was flat (blunt) when I acquired it, so it will require further sharpening/honing by you before it is ready for use.
This is most likely an early work of Hidari-Hisasaku II (2nd Gen), as it exhibits much finer craftsmanship than his later works.
Alternatively, it is possible that the proprietor of Suiheiya specifically requested higher precision standards from Hidari-Hisasaku II. A similar situation is known to have occurred when Kiyotada II supplied tools to Suiheiya.
