Additional Information: This is a rare, barely used kaku-uchi usu-nomi (square-profile thin chisel) forged by the first-generation Kiyotada. There was previously surface rust in the ura (back hollow/flat), but it has been removed. Traces of the original forged black scale (kurokawa) remain intact on the front face of the blade. I performed an initial basic sharpening, taking both the bevel and the ura up to #1000 grit. On the stones, the steel feedback closely resembles that of Tsukiichihiro chisels—noticeably harder than second-generation Kiyotada steel—making it suited for working softwoods or medium-density woods.
