Additional Information: Used. There are some signs of use, but the overall condition is good. One of the tools of a retired shrine carpenter. He got it from the Ichihiro in a black finish and polished it himself.
Compared to other knives made by Ichihiro, such as the kiridashi, kurikokatana, and shirakaki, the kensaki is much rarer. So far I have seen two kensaki with simple versions by ichihiro. The blade of the simple version is thin, more like a piece of iron plate, and has a poor grip.
