Additional Information: This chisel is pre-owned and remains in good condition. The original Miyadaiku (temple carpenter) applied a layer of anti-rust lacquer to the surface for long-term protection. I have performed a restorative sharpening, sharpening the bevel and ura  to a 1000-grit finish. While the overall precision is standard, the tool beautifully showcases the hallmarks of the pre-industrial, handmade era—such as the visible, rugged file marks and the urasuki (back hollow) shaped by a sen (hand scraper). The mountain-shaped mark above the kanji "寅" (Tora) is known as "Iriyamakata/入り山形" in Japan. According to online records, this specific mark was primarily used in the Kanto(関東) and Kinki( 近畿) regions.

It comes from the descendants of a retired Miyadaiku from Kamakura. The chisels from this Miya-daiku currently listed on the website are as follows:

1:Shinogi-Chu-Tataki-Nomi By Hidarimeijin - 24mm;

2: Yamairi-Tataki-Nomi By Hidari-Munehiro;

3: Shinogi-Tataki-Nomi By Hidari-Hisasaku Ⅰ - 24mm

4:Uchimaru nomi By Hidari Katsuhiro - 24mm

5:Kakuuchi-Tataki-Nomi - 24mm
