Additional Information: This is a finely crafted, pre-owned chisel previously owned by a Miyadaiku (shrine and temple carpenter). I have performed a restorative sharpening, sharpening both the bevel and the edge to 1,000 grit. Judging by the wear on the handle, the remaining blade length, and the thickness of the steel, it is evident that this was a frequently used and cherished tool in the master's toolbox. The chisel bears the early Tokyo Chisel Smith Guild. During sharpening, the steel provided a firm feedback—its hardness feels comparable to White Steel No. 1 (Shirogami 1), making it particularly well-suited for working with softwoods.

It comes from the descendants of a retired Miyadaiku from Kamakura. The chisels from this Miya-daiku currently listed on the website are as follows:
